The British Council English Test allows adult learners of English to assess their listening and reading skills from level A1 (Beginner) up to and including C2 (Proficient).
Test-takers will earn a certificate of achievement, which can be downloaded and used to demonstrate English skills to potential employers or to enhance a CV.

IBM India is the Indian subsidiary of IBM- an American computer, technology and IT consulting corporation. IBM India is the largest employer with over 430,000 employees, more than the US counterpart.
IBM requests its new recruits to hold CEFR grade C1 or C2 in English language for all its customer facing roles.
Johnson & Johnson
Johnson & Johnson is an American multinational medical devices, pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods manufacturing company founded in 1886. The corporation includes some 250 subsidiary companies with operations in 60 countries and products sold in over 175 countries.
J&J requires its employees and future recruits to have a minimum CEFR C1 level in English.
Microsoft Corporation is an American multinational technology company with 124,000 employees. It develops, manufactures, licenses, supports and sells computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and services.
The company requires a minimum level of CEFR B2 in speaking and writing English.
Accenture India is a global management consultant that provides digital, technology, operations and business process outsourcing services. The company operates in more than 200 cities in 120 countries employing 425,000 people worldwide.
Candidates should hold a minimum B2 CEFR proficiency level in English.
